The R&D Electrical Department plays a key role in the realisation of electric air mobility projects. As a development engineer, you will be involved in electrical hardware development, electrical circuit design, electrical circuit prototyping, and will work with other departments. Daily tasks will include: • electrical circuit design, • prototyping of electrical circuits and individual assemblies, • participation in EMC and safety certification of products, • working closely with other departments in the company, • testing and optimising circuits according to product requirements.

Daily tasks will include: • develop physics-based and data driven based models of lithium-ion batteries under different operating conditions based on test data, • develop robust battery models to predict cell behaviour including but not necessarily limited to rate performance, life degradation, calendar aging and thermal response, and safety related behaviour, • formulate and supervise designs of experiments to acquire sufficient data to validate, and test the battery models, • work on battery estimation algorithms and models regarding SOC, SOH, impedance, and performance limitation under given operating conditions, • work with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, test, and maintain your model, • collaborate with battery team to determine and achieve battery performance and lifetime targets.

Daily tasks will include: • assemble batteries into carriers for testing, characterization, and qualification, • assembling cells into test fixtures, connecting them to battery cyclers, • place loaded fixtures into test stations, • operating semi-automated test stations and taking care of their maintenance, • load and unload carriers from/to thermal chambers, • perform mechanical and electrical measurements on test subjects, • communicate issues observed in samples, process, or documentation to supervisors, • adhere to safety protocol and guidelines, • support failure analysis efforts, as guided by engineers, • identify issues during testing, reporting to supervisors and suggesting improvements to current designs, • job duties may require additional work like assisting in organizing of inventory and warehouse.

As an engineer, you will be involved in preparation of structural documentation and analysis in support of aircraft modifications, checking drawings, modifications, and other appropriate company documents. What do we expect from the candidate? • A degree in aeronautics, mechanical engineering, stress analysis, structural engineering or physics, or extensive years related industrial experience would be essential for this role. • Experience in an aerospace design office is essential for the success of this role. • Detailed knowledge of structural design on GA Aircraft. • Structural analysis software experience. • IT competent (i.e., Microsoft applications Word, Excel, and Visio etc.). • A working knowledge of Part-21 Design Organisation would be beneficial. • Knowledge of current airworthiness requirements (e.g., CS, FAR etc). • Previous roles producing mechanical designs for Aircraft would be an ideal background for the right candidate but there could be flexibility. • A positive attitude & enthusiastic to work in growing company. • Proactive with strong attention to detail. • Detailed knowledge of Structural Design would be essential but detailed knowledge of structural design on GA Aircraft would be most desirable. • Structural analysis software experience would be beneficial but IT competency is essential.
