As an airworthiness engineer you will be responsible for supporting the design teams by performing airworthiness and certification activities ensuring that the design objectives are compliant with the required regulations, such as: • support the establishment of compliance documents/data (including test program and test result) in the area of expertise • monitoring sub-contractors activities, including external laboratory test (i.e. flammability, electromagnetic interference, high-intensity radiated field) • support design engineers in their technical activity for the acquisition of the target airworthiness requirements (in accordance with the compliance check list) • operating within the office of airworthiness to ensure the continued airworthiness (e.g. preparation of change classification) • evaluating deviations from design data (e.g. deviation classification preparation) • supporting technical customer support • evaluating design change feasibility considering initial and continued airworthiness aspects • certification documents preparation (e.g. certification programme, compliance check list) • initial airworthiness issues (e.g. design office handbook preparation and related procedures) • continued airworthiness issues (e.g. certification programme updating, occurrence classification and management) • preparing aircraft service bulletins and update flight manual or aircraft mainten
• master’s degree in aerospace and aeronautical engineering • basic knowledge of aeronautics disciplines • problem solving capability • knowledge of the German LBA regulatory environment • previous experience as airworthiness engineer is advantageous • knowledge of airworthiness code (German LTF-UL and interpretative materials) • English (at least C1) • German (at least B2)
